The day before yesterday, the Ministry of Transport held the second batch of online video conferences for national ETC networking. It was announced that Jilin, Chongqing, Sichuan and Yunnan were officially merged into the national ETC networking area. So far, a total of 22 provinces highway ETC network has been opened, covering nearly 80% of the total length of the expressway.
At the end of last year, 14 provinces and cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Shandong, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian, Liaoning, Shaanxi and Hunan realized ETC networking. At the end of June this year, the four provinces of Henan, Hubei, Guangdong and Guizhou were successfully integrated into the national ETC networking area, bringing the number of connected provinces nationwide to 18. On July 28th, four provinces were added to the ETC networking area. At this point, Beijing ETC users have achieved brushing in 22 provinces across the country.
According to the unified deployment of the Ministry of Transport, at the end of this year, the national ETC network will be basically realized.
According to reports, with the continuous expansion of the networked area, the services of the provinces in the recharge of ETC users are also changing. At present, the provinces have cooperated with banks to issue co-branded cards, or to establish channels that can be recharged through bank cards, to avoid the trouble caused by not being able to recharge.
In addition, ETC city parking fees have been successfully implemented in some areas, and preferential policies such as the issuance, installation and recharge of ETC user terminals will be launched. At the end of this year, recharging in different places across the country is expected to be realized.
