China's aid to build Dominica Highway repair project

On April 20th local time in Dominica, China’s reconstruction of the Dominica Highway built by the China Railway Construction 17th Bureau Group Electrification Co., Ltd. held a completion ceremony.

Our country assisted in the restoration of the Dominica Highway, from Dominican capital Rosso in the south to Portsmouth, the second largest city in the country. It is a total length of 45.2 kilometers. It is Dominica’s main traffic highway and is currently the largest in the country. Construction projects under construction are known as the "Heart of the two peoples and the monument of friendship". Its completion and opening will play a positive role in alleviating the traffic tension in Dominica, promoting the development of the national economy and facilitating the travel of people along the route.

At the opening ceremony, Dominican Prime Minister Skerrit represented the Dominican government and people and thanked the Chinese government and people for their selfless assistance to Dominica. Chinese Ambassador to Dominica Wang Zonglai and Dominic Minister of Public Works, Energy and Ports, said Blackmore on behalf of the two governments signed the project transfer certificate.
