Excavator sales in July was significantly off-season

According to the latest industry association statistics, 28 major excavator manufacturers sold 6,351 excavators in July, an increase of 8% year-on-year, an increase of 7.4 percentage points from June, and a total of 75,305 excavator sales from January to July. A decrease of 10.88%. From a month-on-month basis, excavators fell by 24% in July, and the characteristics of off-season sales were significant.

Analysts pointed out that there are many reasons for the sluggish sales of excavators. Among them, the index of new projects started in July was the lowest in two years, which has inhibited the market demand for front-end products such as excavators.

According to statistics, the total investment in new projects started in July was 2.7697 trillion yuan, which was 8.3% lower than the same period of last year and more than half of the 618.555 billion yuan in June. This also means that the current global investment growth rate does not actually increase rapidly. The China Construction Machinery Business Network editor learned that the July 21 development index was 6.47%, the lowest value in two years, a drop of about 60% from June.

The 21 development index consists of total social freight, national industrial electricity consumption, planned investment in new projects, and broad money (M2). The weights are 25%, 20%, 25%, and 30% respectively.
