Cargotec's MacGregor has received an order for deck equipment for a series of eight 58500dwt bulk carriers being built by China's New Age Shipbuilding. It is reported that the new bulk carriers are built for the Lemissoler Navigation company in Cyprus. It is expected that the first two ships will be delivered around August 2015.
The complete deck equipment package that MacGregor will deliver includes electric pole winches, steering gears, air compressors, hatch covers and variable frequency drive (VFD) electric cranes. The equipment for the equipment package comes from the combined MacGregor and Hatlaba products.
