The stolen cultural property seized by the police
Chongqing People's Daily, Chongqing, February 19: Recently, police in Fengjie County of Chongqing successfully destroyed a criminal gang that was involved in the excavation of ancient tombs in Fengjie County, Yunyang County, Wushan County of Chongqing City and Enshi City and Lichuan City of Hubei Province. The criminal suspects were all arrested and detected 14 serial tomb cases. The stolen Ming and Qing cultural relics were seized by the police.
Fenggao County is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River and is surrounded by mountains and rivers. There are many tombs in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. On the afternoon of May 30, 2013, the Jiagao Police Station of the Fengjie County Public Security Bureau received a report from a villager that the ancestral tomb of Zhangjiaping, Guangming Village, Jiagao Town, Fengjie County was stolen. After receiving the alarm, the police investigating the case immediately carried out a site survey and went deep into the work of the MPC.
In the process of touching and arranging cases, the ancestral graves of many villagers in the area were stolen. The news quickly spread, and the villagers were disheartened and feared that the graves of their families had been stolen. However, the police did not find any valuable clues for the Mochi. The investigation of the case was once deadlocked. Later, the police investigating the case found that several stolen ancient tombs were discovered. The location of the stolen ancient tombs was very remote. Only the local people had a certain understanding of the situation, combined with the excavation marks, the time and location of the incident, and similarities. The police analyzed the two cases for the same group of people and investigated the case.
With the gradual collection of clues, after nearly a month of visits by Mopai, the police finally obtained important information. There were members of the Criminal Record Division, Deng Mou, and three others who had appeared on the scene of the theft of two ancient tombs. According to this important clue, the police compared each other one by one, quickly locked the suspect Dengmou, and further determined the identity of some members of the gang.
In order not to make consternation, the police investigating the case decided to first capture the Dengmou who played a major role in the gang. However, the Dengmou Department of Departmental staff has a certain awareness of anti-reconnaissance, and the staff has not registered a permanent residence and fixed residence for many years, and the police arrested several times. However, after handling the case, the police relentlessly scrambled and finally captured Deng at the home of Li Gaozhen, a high-quality town in Jiagao Town. The other three members of the gang immediately followed.
After interrogation, Deng Mou and others explained the criminal facts that 10 of their gangs had excavated ancient tombs 14 times. On February 12th, 2014, 10 tomb gangs with Dengmou as the main member were all arrested. The stolen Ming and Qing cultural relics were all recovered by the police. Recently, 10 criminal suspects have been detained by the police in Fengjie according to law. The case is under further investigation.
