Tikkurila completes the merger of its two largest paint companies

Recently, Kemira Coatings announced that it had completed the merger of Tikkurila Paints Oy and Tikkurila Coatings Oy on January 1, 2008. In the future, the assets, legal obligations and ownership of both companies will be consolidated in the hands of Tikkurila, making Tikkurila Coatings a truly integrated paint company.

The integration transaction of Tikkurila Coatings has been confirmed and approved by the Finnish merger law. Through this integration, in the future, Tikkurila Coatings successfully established its complete legal entity qualifications, and realized the company's management structure, capital operations and the use of raw materials to further simplify the process.

Camilla Coatings is a major supplier of paint products in Northern Europe and Eastern Europe and operates in more than 40 countries. Its coating products cover building structures, decorative coatings, wood coatings and metal coatings. In 2006, Camilla Coatings completed sales of 563 million euros and employed 3,500 people.
