Wärtsilä receives a new LNG ship propulsion program

According to the contract signed in September this year, Wärtsilä will deliver the propulsion package for the ship, including a 6-cylinder Wärtsilä 34DF dual-fuel main engine, a reduction gearbox and a Wärtsilä controllable pitch propeller.

It is reported that since Wärtsilä launched dual-fuel engine technology, more than 1,300 Wärtsilä dual-fuel engines have received orders. The Wärtsilä equipment is expected to be delivered in 2016 and the new vessel will be named “Coralius” and is expected to begin operations in February 2017.
