China's first nuclear fuel loading and unloading machine in the Dalian heavy industry off the assembly line

The localization of nuclear power plant equipment has always been a difficult task for Chinese industry to overcome. On March 25th, China's first AP1000 third-generation nuclear power technology reactor plant fuel loading and unloading machine manufactured by Dalian Heavy Industries officially went offline after more than 170 precision test runs. This marks that Dalian Heavy Industry has made major breakthroughs in the field of China's third-generation nuclear power equipment manufacturing.
This loading and unloading machine will be used in China's third-generation nuclear power plant in Shandong Haiyang No. 1 unit, is the key equipment for reactor nuclear fuel handling and storage systems, with a new model, loading and reloading automatically accurate positioning and so on. Dalian Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. has completed research and development more than two years ago and has received support and recognition from Westinghouse and National Nuclear Power Technology Corporation.
As the country's third-generation nuclear power equipment localization research and development base, Dalian Heavy Industry has now mastered the key technology of millions of kilowatts of nuclear ring cranes with independent intellectual property rights, and successfully manufactured the first third-generation EPR nuclear power ring crane in China, which has successively undertaken 8 nuclear power lifting equipment manufacturing tasks, including nuclear power station ring bridge cranes, fuel grabs and loading and unloading machines.
