Nickel mining rely mainly on open-pit mining in the past 80 years, there are open pit Jinchuan Nonferrous Metals Company and Jilin Nickel Industry Company wealthy Ridge open pit and large open pit mine, ore with an annual output capacity of 2 million t. By the mid-1980s, the Jinchuan No. 2 Mine was completed and put into operation, which caused the main nickel concentrate of nickel production in the country to come from underground mining. By the end of the 1980s, the open pit mines were successively mined and transferred to underground mining.
At present, nickel ore is all dependent on underground mining. Under the guidance of the planned economy before the 1980s, the mining method was relatively backward, and mining was mainly carried out by electricity and labor. In order to reduce capital investment, many mines have adopted the caving method, and the depletion rate and loss rate are more than 20%. Since the late 1960s, a series of process technologies have been carried out with the Jinchuan Nickel Mine as the first cement-filling mining method. Now this method has been applied to the majority of nickel mines. The mining methods for the main nickel mines in China are shown in the table below.
At present, 90% of the mining volume of China's nickel mines is cemented and filled, and the recovery rate can be controlled at about 95%. The ore grade is 20% to 30% higher than the caving method, which lays down the ore recovery rate and the concentrate grade. A good foundation.
